I have had great success writing and recording drum parts for various artists and fine tuning existing drum parts to keep live shows and tours interesting and engaging for the audience. There are no specific rules, but rather guidelines to create a successful drum groove for a specific idea. It is important to understand how the drum parts make or break a song and the style of music. Why is it sometimes a good idea to not change the original drum groove at all?Īfter completion of this class you will find it much easier to create and play new drum parts for songs - whether it’s a band project or you are given the opportunity to professionally write and record drum parts for an artist releasing their new song.
